Sami Khan is an experienced growth marketer specialised in helping early stage consumer facing products launch and scale to millions of customers. He played key roles in growth and development at companies now collectively valued over $15B, including Acorns, Honey, Dave.com, Root, and many more.

Sami is a Bachelor of Science in Management, Marketing, and Law from A.B. Freeman School of Business. He co-founded Startcase Digital to help early stage startups find customers on Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. The company has helped over 130+ different startups in the US and internationally validate product demand, refine positioning, and scale.

He was also the Growth Advisor at Honey (joinhoney.com, that later got acquired by PayPal) where he contributed to the company’s efforts to pioneer digital growth efforts for the top savings extension in the world.

Sami now focuses on bridging the virtual and physical worlds with ATLAS Reality, Inc. that he founded in 2016. The firm pioneered in owning virtual real estate simulating the real world where players can claim land exactly where they are standing in the real world. With ATLAS players get a cash back for every parcel of land they own in the ATLAS metaverse.

5. We can see that ATLAS EARTH uses the “play to earn” model to attract players, but how can you ensure that it really brings different value for them when in fact there are so many games using that model at the same time?

6. Since the launching of ATLAS EARTH in 2021, how do you evaluate the success of this game? Especially after this game sold nearly 4 million parcels of land, more parcels of land than anyone else in the metaverse real estate space combined?

7. Do you think that there is still lots of room for development not only in the area of real estate but also other features to be put in this game?

Recently Mastercard just announced that they link ATLAS: EARTH to its loyalty program, which is all about helping their business customers – merchants, CPGs, financial institutions — grow their businesses. Can you share more about this strategic partnership? What are the main benefits that this collaboration can bring to the community of both sides?

We do believe that the metaverse can be the future of more than just games as in fact we have seen so many key players in all kinds of industries coming to Metaverse: fashion, sports, art galleries, universities, etc. It clearly shows that Metaverse is the leading trend of the world recently. What do you think Metaverse will look like in the future (in a general perspective) and how will it affect our lives?
