It’s no secret that Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani is a special talent.

Not since Babe Ruth has the game of baseball seen a player that can pitch like an ace and hit for power at the plate.

The two-way superstar recently earned MVP honors for the World Baseball Classic after helping lead Japan to the title and punctuating things with a strikeout of his Angels teammate in Mike Trout.

Needless to say, Ohtani has impressed many people around the sports world, even outside of baseball.

Late on Wednesday, former MLB stars Jake Peavy and Carlos Pena discussed what Ohtani brings to the table and raved about his special talents.

Pena credited him for his smooth swing, but also gave some praise for the Angels star’s professionalism and consistency during the Classic.

Ohtani clearly enjoyed himself, but got back to business when things mattered most and showed off what he can do on the baseball field.

Peavy credited him for being able to plant his feet in the batter’s box, while also producing incredible power.

The former San Diego Padres ace even made a bold statement, saying that when he faced hitters, he would always look for their weaknesses.

However, he doesn’t see any with Ohtani and stated that he would never want to face the two-way star.

Peavy also stressed that hitting against him would be no easy task either.

The two MLB legends agreed on how remarkable it is that Ohtani is able to do exactly what both of them did on a daily basis during their careers.
