Eagles GM Sets A Dominant NFL Record

The Philadelphia Eagles are headed back to the Super Bowl with a whole new cast from the last time we saw them.

Back in the 2017-18 season, the Eagles made the Super Bowl with Doug Pederson as coach and Nick Foles as the quarterback.

But, this season, Pederson and Foles have been an afterthought in the City of Brotherly love.

It is now head coach Nick Sirianni and quarterback Jalen Hurts who have led the Eagles to the big game.

One person that deserves plenty of credit for this roster is GM Howie Roseman.

He has been under fire in Philadelphia in recent seasons due to some bad draft picks, but it is hard to argue with what he did this year.

Other than drafting Hurts and hiring Sirianni, Roseman made a few impact moves that got the Eagles to this point.

First and foremost he traded for A.J. Brown during last year’s NFL Draft.

The Eagles needed a true number-one receiver and Roseman went out and got one.

Also, Roseman made a few under-the-radar moves that paid big dividends.

He traded for Chauncey Gardner-Johnson from the New Orleans Saints.

As well as signing two All-Pros in Hassan Reddick and James Bradberry.

Seemingly every move Roseman made over the past year worked out for him and the Eagles.

That is a big reason why his team is back in the Super Bowl.

If NFL GMs learn anything from the past two seasons it is that going “all-in” works.

The Los Angeles Rams did it in last season, and now the Eagles this year.

Aggressive GMs give their teams the best chance to win, and that is what the Eagles have in Roseman.
