The Los Angeles Dodgers were Trea Turner‘s home for a season-and-a-half.

They traded for him and Max Scherzer before the 2021 deadline, and he has done nothing but shine ever since he put on a Dodgers uniform.

Now, after a stellar but short stint, the dynamic shortstop is leaving for greener pastures.

The greener pastures, for him, are the Philadelphia Phillies, the team willing to give him an 11-year contract worth $300 million.

His former team made sure to share a nice farewell message with fans on Twitter.

For a season-and-a-half, Turner wore No. 6 with pride and dignity.

His stint with the team had some really high moments, shown in the clip, and also some low ones, like his defensive miscues in the postseason against the San Diego Padres.

It doesn’t matter: fans rooted for him and showed their respect towards him at nearly all times.

He responded on the field with elite performance.

Elite Offensive Performance

This past season, he hit .298 with 21 home runs and 27 stolen bases.

He was a catalyst for LA, scoring 101 runs and driving in 100.

Overall, in his time with the Dodgers, he hit .307/.353/.490 with a solid .843 OPS.

He hit 31 dingers and stole 38 bases.

Now, the Phillies are going to enjoy a phenomenal leadoff hitter for their already great offense.

Bryce Harper, Nick Castellanos, J.T. Realmuto, Kyle Schwarber and others will enjoy hitting behind Turner and having increased RBI opportunities.

It remains to be seen if the Dodgers will pursue Carlos Correa or Dansby Swanson, or if they will hand over the position to Gavin Lux.

In any case, there is no doubt that Turner will be missed in LA.
