Deputies investigate juvenile killed in overnight Tangipahoa shooting

HAMMOND – Deputies in Tangipahoa Parish are investigating an overnight shooting that left one juvenile dead in Hammond.

According to reports, calls of a shooting came in just before midnight from the St. Paul Loop neighborhood. Deputies arrived to the scene to find a 16-year-old male victim dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

The incident is being investigated as a homicide and so far authorities have several suspects in custody. Deputies are not releasing any names at this time since this case involves juveniles.
