December 4, 2022 – The Promised Redeemer Has Come – Jesus is Redeemer pt. 1 – Luke 1:67-79
In this new series, Pastor Byron explains how Jesus is our Redeemer.
In this first sermon in this series, the prayer and prophecy of Zechariah is studied to show how that Zechariah understood the promise of the Redeemer had finally come.
In this sermon, Pastor Byron gave a definition of Redemption that he will show is consistent in each place where Jesus is talked about as the redeemer.
Redemption Definition:
Redemption is God’s gracious act of ransoming us from our bondage to sin, the kingdom of Satan, and impending wrath by paying the price of our sin debt through Jesus’ blood
in order to deliver us from bondage into His Kingdom through faith.
The challenge that Pastor Byron gives from this passage for believers is that we should all be praising God just like Zechariah did that we have a Redeemer!
And for those who have not yet repented and believed in Jesus as their redeemer, he challenges you to repent and believe in Jesus to be your Redeemer!
