Charles Barkley Has A Message For Zion Williamson
The New Orleans Pelicans have a pretty big problem on their hands when it comes to superstar forward Zion Williamson and his long-term future with the team and in the NBA, for that matter.
When healthy and in shape, Williamson is arguably one of the most entertaining players in the league, with the ability to score, rebound, and be on highlight reels on a nightly basis.
However, Williamson is rarely on the floor for the Pelicans, as he has dealt with injury problems throughout his entire career in the NBA thus far and is as far from dependable as it gets.
Another issue for Williamson is weight control; as it appears he struggles to keep weight off even when he’s healthy and playing on a regular basis.
Former NBA MVP Charles Barkley, who dealt with his weight issues during his playing days, talked about Williamson and how he wished the Pelicans had a veteran like he did to motivate him as Moses Malone did for him with the Philadelphia 76ers via SiriusXM NBA Radio.

Only time will tell if Williamson can right the ship in New Orleans and get back on track to being one of the elite players in this league, as he has the talent to do so with the team backing him.
If Williamson can dedicate himself to getting in shape and staying healthy, the sky is the limit for this superstar forward, as he can make the Pelicans relevant for as long as he’s with the team.
However, if it goes the other direction, Williamson will become a what-if story in the NBA, with a disappointing end to his career on the horizon.
