Braves Confirm Their Full NLDS Rotation

The defending World Series champion Atlanta Braves have officially set their full NLDS rotation.

After splitting the first two games with the Philadelphia Phillies at Truist Park, the series shifts to Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, where the Phils will have Aaron Nola waiting to start Game 3.

The Braves had Max Fried and Kyle Wright in the first two games of the series.

After being without their rookie sensation Spencer Strider for the last week of the regular season, the Braves announced that the young right-hander would get the start in Game 3 in Philadelphia.

The Braves will send veteran Charlie Morton to the hill for Game 4 on Saturday.

Braves Set NLDS Rotation

Strider had been out with an oblique issue, but now he’s returned and is ready to help the Braves try and gain a 2-1 series edge this afternoon in Game 3.

Game 3 should be a fun pitcher’s duel between two of the best starters in all of baseball.

Strider, a National League Rookie of the Year candidate, went 11-5 with a 2.67 ERA this season.

Nola, who pitched 6.2 scoreless innings in St. Louis his last time out, went 11-13 with a 3.25 ERA.

The Phillies have yet to announce their Game 4 starter, but for the Braves, it will be Morton, an experienced postseason veteran who closed out the 2017 World Series.

Morton went 9-6 this season with a 4.34 ERA.

These next two games set up quite nicely for the Braves as they look to try and close out their division rivals and advance to their third straight NLCS.

Strider has been reliable all season long, and Morton has great postseason experience and the ability to pitch affectively in key spots.
