Ariz. Sheriff: Cartels have 'structure' to control border | NewsNation Live

Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz testified to Republican members of the Homeland Security Committee this week that the agency does not have operational control over the southern border. This went against what his boss, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, said last year. Cochise County, Arizona, Sheriff Mark Dannels said he agrees with Ortiz’s assessment.
Drug cartels in Mexico “have the will, they have the structure” and they’re exploiting current immigration policies, Dannels said on “NewsNation Live.”
