No disrespect to LeBron James, but Anthony Davis has always been the most important player for the Los Angeles Lakers.

The team won the NBA championship in the lone season he was healthy and motivated, and they haven’t even gotten past the first round without him at his best.

That’s not a shot at LeBron by any means, as he continues to play at an MVP-caliber level, but he can no longer play defense the way he used to, and banking on a 38-year-old to single-handedly carry your team to an NBA championship is just unrealistic.

So, it’s not a surprise to see that Lakers fans are quite frustrated with the injury-prone superstar, who’s looked like a shell of himself recently.

Davis hasn’t been able to will the team to a win the same way LeBron has, and his body language seems way off as of late.

He was heavily criticized for not batting an eye when James broke the NBA’s scoring record, with him stating that he was just mad because they were losing.

Now, he’s fueled speculation and online chatter again for deleting his Instagram account shortly after their loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.

Some fans even want the team to part ways with him, which is a possibility they could revisit in the offseason.

Davis is one of the most talented and impactful two-way players this game has ever seen, but being available is a huge part of the job, and he’s become a strange sight on the court.

His trade value is a big question mark as things stand right now, but it doesn’t seem like he wants to be in Los Angeles anymore.
