It’s been several years since Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers has been able to play for an entire season without getting seriously injured.

Not surprisingly, it’s also been several years since the team has done well.

All fans of the team are afraid that Davis is constantly on the verge of getting hurt again and missing weeks – if not months – of play.

Davis is doing incredibly well in the preseason so far and looks to be playing like his old self again.

However, eagle-eyed fans saw just how close he came to a physical mishap in Sunday’s game against the Golden State Warriors.

Davis landed on another player’s foot and nearly rolled his ankle.

If he would have done that, it could have spelled serious trouble for Davis – and the team’s chances of returning to greatness.

Davis Stays Strong

If Davis continues to play as he has been in preseason games then the Lakers might really be able to rebound from the dreadful last season they had.

He has looked competitive and fierce, intimidating and strong.

Of course, fears remain that one misstep or fall could end that all.

Davis has spent a lot of time conditioning and training in the summer, getting his body ready for more than 80 games.

He is saying all the right things about his physical health and looks great too.

But one can’t shake the feeling that things go wrong fast and he could get hurt again.

You can’t blame people for being fearful of that – it’s been experienced again and again over the last few years.

Hopefully, this is the year that Davis stays healthy all the way through the postseason.
