Anthony Davis Proves He Is A Force When Healthy
Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers is a big, intimidating presence on the basketball court.
However, for the last few years, not many other players in the league have feared Davis.
Davis has suffered a slew of injuries that have kept him sidelined and his Lakers have been in very bad shape, not even making the play-in tournament last season.
So many people have seen Davis as something of a has-been and not a true threat anymore.

However, he was showing glimpses of his best self on Sunday night in a preseason game against the reigning champion Golden State Warriors.
During one play, Davis deftly spiked down a shot attempt from Andrew Wiggins with pure force and strength.
It’s been some time since we have seen Davis perform like this.
The man has still got it – but will he show it off in the season ahead?
A Beat Down By The Brow
There was a time when Davis averaged the most blocks throughout the entire league.
Back in 2013-14, when he was still with the Pelicans, he was averaging 2.8 blocks a game.
He then brought that up to 2.9 a game in the 2014-15 season.
In 2021-22, Davis averaged 2.3 blocks per game, which is still a very impressive number.
However, that was part of the season when he only played 40 games and his team was severely lacking.
Davis has been saying that 2022-23 will be a revenge season for him and his squad.
That may end up being very true if Davis continues to perform as he did on Sunday night when he put up 28 points in just 21 minutes.
It’s been some time since people feared Davis but he might change that in the new season.
