The New York Knicks fell short of their goal again, and while the Miami Heat were simply a much better team more often than not, one could also point the finger at coach Tom Thibodeau for not going to his bench to at least try something different when the season was on the line.

Getting out of Thibs’ doghouse is almost impossible, and once you’ve fallen out of the rotation, only a major string of injuries could make you set foot on the floor again.

That’s why we shouldn’t expect Derrick Rose to be back at the Madison Square Garden next season, as the veteran PG fell out of grace with his lifelong and beloved coach.

With that in mind, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype believes it would make a ton of sense for Rose to go back to where it all started and sign with the Chicago Bulls.

Rose is one of the greatest icons and idols in Bulls’ history.

He’s the youngest MVP in the history of the game, and he brought back hope to the Windy City for the first time since Michael Jordan’s second retirement.

His career obviously didn’t pan out as people expected because of all of the injuries, and the Bulls eventually parted ways with him in a heartbreaking fashion.

But they now have a clear lack of depth at the PG position and Lonzo Ball’s availability continues to be a huge question mark.

So it would make a lot of sense for him to go full circle and play meaningful minutes for his hometown team again.
