The Golden State Warriors have experienced their fair share of ups and down so far this season and are currently the sixth-best team in the West.

Their problems have revolved around the team’s lack of depth and some painful absences which have only hurt them more.

One player who hasn’t been with the team for weeks now is Andrew Wiggins; the 6-foot-7 forward who is averaging 17.1 points, 5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists this season.

NBA analyst Shams Charania touched upon Wiggins’ mysterious absence while speaking to FanDuel TV, saying, “They need [Wiggins] to play…there is uncertainty whether he’s gonna be in the lineup.”

The team hasn’t revealed why Wiggins has been gone from the team since Valentine’s Day.

Instead, they have simply said that he has been dealing with a “family matter.”

Head coach Steve Kerr recently opened up a bit about Wiggins, saying that he believes the star player will be back at some point this season.

“I think that’s the hope,” Kerr said.

He added, “But really, there’s nothing to report on.”

Kerr also added that Wiggins is dealing with something that’s “way more important than a game.”

The few comments from the Warriors about Wiggins show that not only is he handling something very important and delicate but also that his team cares for him very much and will give him all the time he needs.

Wiggins was a big part of the team’s success last season, especially in the postseason when he averaged 16.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists.

During this tough, up-and-down season, the Warriors are certainly missing him right now.
