The NFL has always been a league that gives second chances to it’s players.

One player that was seemingly out of the league was former Alabama linebacker, Reuben Foster.

Foster was a first-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft, where the San Francisco 49ers selected him 31st overall.

Now after suffering a serious knee injury, Foster is attempting to make a return to the NFL.

The USFL has shown to be a league where players can prove themselves to NFL teams.

One player that went from the USFL to the NFL and made an impact was KaVontae Turpin of the Dallas Cowboys.

He won the USFL MVP, before being invited to training camp by the Cowboys.

Then in his first NFL season, he was named to the pro bowl team as a return specialist.

It will be interesting to see how healthy Foster is and if he looks anything like the player we saw in college.

Foster has not played in a game since 2018, so there will certainly be some adjustments to the USFL.

But, the USFL season starts in April, and there is a 10-week schedule for each team.

Foster is only 28 years old and has not played much football since being drafted.

He played 16 career games in the NFL and was third in defensive rookie of the year in 2017.

His body should still be in good enough shape to make a positive impact on his USFL team.

But, his instincts and play recognition will be something to watch for this season.

He will need to show a lot to NFL scouts to get another opportunity in the league, but he might be worth the risk for some teams.
