Do The Lakers Have Enough To Be A Playoff Team?

The Los Angeles Lakers have finally started to win some games after starting the season 0-5.

They have gone 7-6 in their past 11 games but still, have a terrible record of 7-11.

LeBron James has already missed six games this season, but the Lakers have found ways to win without him.

That has been due to the great play of Anthony Davis.

So far this year Davis is averaging, 26.3 points, 12.8 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game.

He has helped keep this team afloat while James has been sidelined.

With still plenty of time left to play in the season, do the Lakers have enough to make the playoffs?

Ultimately, this roster is too poorly constructed to make the playoffs as is.

If they do not make any substantial moves, this will not be a playoff team.

They rely too heavily on an often-injured Davis and an already-injured James to carry their team.

To expect those two to stay healthy for the rest of the season would be a mistake.

Trades Must Be Made

The Lakers can help take some of the pressure off their two stars if they make a trade or two.

One thing the Lakers need is shooting, so acquiring anyone that can consistently make three-point shots would be ideal.

Some players the Lakers have shown interest in are Buddy Hield and Myles Turner.

Both of them are good three point shooters and could be key contributors.

Also, Russell Westbrook seems to be the one trade chip the Lakers can use.

Shopping Westbrook around to every team to see his value should be a priority over the next few months.

LA needs to make a move if they want to avoid the embarrassment of missing the playoffs for the second straight year.
