The last few seconds of Monday night’s game between the Miami Heat and Portland Trail Blazers was something else.

These two teams were battling it out all night in Miami and it was coming down to the wire.

Both teams were looking to prove something with a much-needed victory and neither would give up easily.

In the final seconds of the game, the Heat tied the game 107-107 with a slick three-pointer with just 6.2 seconds left.

In response, the Trail Blazers tossed the ball inbound and Damian Lillard made his way down the court.

It looked as if Lillard was going to make the shot attempt himself but instead, he passed the ball to Josh Hart, who took a three-point shot from the corner.

The shot was good.

Miami was stunned, the fans were stunned, and even the Trail Blazers were stunned.

They won yet another game and proved just how serious they are about playing hard all season long.

Trail Blazing

The Blazers right now have a 7-3 record and are the third-best team in the Western Conference.

This is far, far better than nearly everyone expected for the team.

As for the Heat, they have a 4-7 record and are 12th in the East, which was also not expected.

The Blazers are one of the most surprising stories of the young NBA season.

They are consistently playing well and playing hard, with or without Lillard in charge.

The fact that Hart was the one scoring the game-winning bucket says a lot about this team: it is becoming so much more than simply Lillard’s team.

The Heat are currently trying to figure themselves out but the Trail Blazers know who they are – and are proud of their identity.
