0

The 2022 Louisiana State History Day competition took place on April 9 at The National World War II Museum in New Orleans, LA after two years of being virtual due to COVID-19. Louisiana History Day is an affiliate of National History Day which is an annual research competition for students in grades 6-12. Students can choose a topic of their choice within the given theme and can present individually or as a group in one of five categories: paper, exhibit, performance, documentary or website. Competition starts at the regional level in February or March every year. Louisiana is split into six regions: New Orleans, Lafayette, Natchitoches, Baton Rouge, Shreveport and Monroe. The top students in each category at regionals move on to the state competition. The top state finishers move on to the National Competition which takes place every year in June at the University of Maryland- College Park.
