Shohei Ohtani Had Another Night For The Ages
Even when he is not at his best, Los Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani manages to make a huge impact.
That was the case on Monday, against the Baltimore Orioles.
Ohtani conceded five earned runs, which is rare.
Three Orioles hitters went yard against his pitches, which is even less frequent.
However, he was able to get the win by limiting the damage on the bases.
Six hitters reached base, four via hit and two via walk.
Since he pitched seven innings and had an incredible night at the plate to help his own cause, he was able to get the win.

He is just amazingly unique.
That would be the perfect way to describe him.
On the mound, he struck out five.
At the plate, he was a force.
Hitting third behind Mike Trout, Ohtani went 4-for-5 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI.
He also tripled, and fell a double short of hitting the cycle.
The homer traveled an incredible 456 feet.
For the season, Ohtani is now hitting a fantastic .303/.377/.555 with nine home runs.
As a pitcher, he has been just as great, with a 5-1 record and a 3.23 ERA.
He also has struck out 71 hitters in just 53 innings, proving just how dominant he is.
The Angels will be very careful with him this week, as he reported some neck stiffness after the game.
Every time he takes the field or hops on the mound, something great is bound to happen and history can be made.
He is truly one of a kind.
