When you have a successful series that’s lasted as long as NCIS, you naturally have cast turnovers for different reasons. Often, the actors leave to pursue other roles.

But while they may move on with their lives, dedicated fans cling to the memory of their characters and celebrate when we get a reunion.

Tony and Ziva Get Their Own Show

Fans learned the news of the two latest NCIS spinoffs in early 2024. NCIS: Origins will air alongside the original NCIS series in the Fall 2024 TV lineup.

However, fans will have to wait until 2025 for the Tiva reunion. NCIS: Sydney will also not return for its second season until 2025.

Fans received the exciting news that NCIS would abandon the trend of spinoffs based on NCIS locations and focus on character-first spinoffs.

We love the current NCIS team members. I’ve been obsessed with Wilmer Valderrama (Agent Nick Torres) since the days of That ’70s Show and Yo Momma. But fans still miss the OG agents.

Possibly as a last-ditch effort to regain the former glory NCIS held for its use of several spinoffs, writers are bringing back fan favorites Agents Jethroy Gibbs, Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo, and Ziva David and giving them their own shows.

Check out our NCIS: Origins pieces to find out everything you need to know about how Gibbs became the legendary agent of NCIS.

While it will be a while before we see the marriage of the century fans never witnessed on the original NCIS series, this detailed NCIS Tony and Ziva cast and character guide can get your spirits fired for the wait.

Who Stars in NCIS: Tony & Ziva?

NCIS: Tony & Ziva will be exclusive to streaming on Paramount+ when it airs next year. It’s been over a decade since fans finally got the romantic conclusion they wanted from Tony and Ziva.

And their daughter Tali.

Filming for the series has started in Budapest, and teasers of what’s to come have been released on Weatherly’s Instagram page.

The latest glimpse behind the camera features DiNozzo with a surprising companion. His photo alongside his camel co-workers has the internet abuzz with theories.

While we don’t have answers about the camel colleagues, we have a growing list of series regulars that will make up the show’s cast.

Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly)

NCIS fans need no introduction to Anthony DiNozzo, but we’ll give you one anyway. Why would we not want to talk about Mr. Suave Security?

Tony spent thirteen years as Gibbs’ right-hand man and the second in command of the NCIS Major Case Response Team.

During his time at the agency, DiNozzo charmed viewers and victims alike while saving countless lives and putting away dozens of criminals. He grew close to his colleagues, falling in love with Ziva but remaining responsible and professional.

He also became best friends with fellow agent Tim McGee, lab tech Abby Sciuto, and NCIS Chief Medical Examiner Jimmy Palmer, whom Tony fondly referred to as Autopsy Gremlin.

While many fans miss DiNozzo’s charm and swag, this viewer personally misses his snark. Leave it to my ’80s made me, ’90s raised me point of view, but if you don’t tease your friends in good humor, are you really friends?

Once Weatherly left NCIS to pursue other acting opportunities, he was the lead actor in the CBS series Bull, which ran for six seasons.

He appeared briefly in the NCIS Season 21 Episode 2 tribute to David McCallum, forever known to the NCISverse as Dr. Donald Ducky Mallard.

McCallum passed away days after turning 90 in 2024, just one of numerous celebrities we say goodbye to this year.

Ziva David (Cote de Pablo)

Fans got their first taste of former Mossad officer Ziva David when she joined the NCIS team after Agent Kate Todd’s death at the end of the show’s second season.

It took some time for fans to decide which side her loyalties lay.

But it didn’t take long for us to fall in love with David and the steamy chemistry between her and Tony.

And we adored her close relationship with Gibbs and Ducky.

Cote spent eight seasons as Ziva before departing during NCIS Season 11 Episode 2. Fans believed she died during NCIS Season 13 Episode 24, which resulted in Tony resigning.

Fans learned a few seasons later that Ziva wasn’t dead but in hiding.

She returned on NCIS Season 16 Episode 24 and reappeared in several episodes of NCIS Season 17.

Her team-up with Gibbs and NCIS freed her from hiding from bad guys, allowing her to reunite with Tony and their daughter.

Cote is most known for her long-term role in NCIS and has not found similar success in her roles since.

You might’ve seen her in lesser-known roles in films like The 33, The Last Rites of Ransom Pride, and Prototype.

Sophie (Lara Rossi)

Sophie will have specialized skills through her time with the SAS (Special Air Service) and be responsible for caring for Tali.

Rossi has been in The Watch, The Midwich Cuckoos, Robin Hood, Crossing Lines, Flesh and Blood, and Angela Black.

Tali (Isla Gie)

Fans learned of Tali — Tony and Ziva’s daughter — when Michael Weatherly left the show and his role as Tony DiNozzo.

That was when viewers discovered Tony and Ziva were having a clandestine affair that resulted in an unknown child.

Fans will finally meet Tony and Ziva’s infamous daughter a decade later in the NCIS spinoff. Tali will be a precocious 12-year-old teenager tired of being treated like a child.

Gie is best known for her work on Foundation, but she’s had a few roles in her short career, including Slow Horses, The Outlaws, and Mammals.

Martine (Nassima Benchicou)

Martine, a former DGSE (Directorate-General for External Security) French intelligence agent, will be another employee of Tony’s security firm.

Nassima is most known for her work in the series Emily in Paris. She’s also been in The Sandhamn Murders and an episode of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.

Boris (Maximilian Osinski)

NCIS: Tony & Ziva will be full of beautiful people and sexy, sculpted bodies, like Maximilian Osinski, who will play a Russian computer hacker named Boris.

Over the years, we’ve seen Osinski in several films and television works. He’s had one-episode appearances like MacGyver, Shameless, and New Amsterdam.

But he’s most known for Agent Davis in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Dennis in The Walking Dead: World Beyond, and Zava from Ted Lasso.

Dr. Lang (Terence Maynard)

Maynard will play Dr. Lang, an experienced therapist who helps with Tony’s security firm and specializes in severe traumas.

Maynard has had multiple roles in his career. We’ve seen him in recurring roles and one-time appearances, including Ridley, The Witcher, Sherwood, 222 episodes of Coronation Street, and Young Dracula.

Claudette (Amita Suman)

We’ll join Tony and Ziva after they’ve re-united and established a life together. Tony’s private security company employs Chief Technical Officer Claudette, played by Amita Suman.

Her previous works include Casualty, Doctor Who, The Outpost, a single episode of Sandman, and sixteen episodes of Shadow and Bone.

Henry (James D’Arcy)

Since NCIS: Tony & Ziva will be taking a note out of NCIS: Sydney with international cases in a foreign land, it’s unsurprising that we’ll see Interpol involved in several episodes.

One face to portray a high-ranking Interpol official will be James D’Arcy, most known for his impressive work in Oppenheimer.

He’s also recurred in Homeland, This Little Show of Mine, and Constellation.

Jonah (Julian Ovenden)

Julian will play the brilliant former NSA computer programmer Jonah, who is now the Secretary General of Interpol.

You may recognize his handsomeness from the trendy historical series Bridgerton, the Netflix book-turned-series. He’s also been in Trigger Point, Knightfall, Related, The Royals, Downtown Abbey, and Person of Interest.

NCIS: Tony & Ziva Cast and Characters

NCIS: Tony & Ziva promises to give fans the romantic undercurrents of Tiva that we’ve missed since the couple left our favorite investigative agency.

It will be interesting to see how the show ties into the Naval Criminal Investigative Services agency now that the two former agents are no longer active members. Or is the NCIS portion of the title a reference to their former glory?

Anyone with news of the show has been very tight-lipped, although Michael Weatherly seems to enjoy tormenting his fans on social media with mysterious postings.

Seriously! Camels? Snazzy Double-O-7 digs? Budapest?

What will fans be in for when Tiva returns after a decade of marriage and living abroad with their tween daughter?
