Whatever Margot Robbie’s soul is made of, she knows how to dazzle on a red carpet.
So when it came time for her Wuthering Heights press tour, she made sure to lean into 1840s-inspired fashion Emily Brontë would recognize—with twists worthy of the sultry, Emerald Fennell adaptation.
Indeed, while much of Margot’s press tour fashion (so far) has featured corsets and billowing gowns, she’s modernized the looks with cut outs, short hem lines, revealing lace and blood-red coloring to match the film—all with the help of stylist Andrew Mukamal.
After all, there’s a reason Emerald’s adaptation sees the title put in quotes, a hint that her version will be a departure from the original text—an idea Margot has fully embodied for her press tour looks.
Take, for instance, the Schiaparelli gown she wore to the film’s Jan. 28 premiere. While the dress started off traditionally enough with a sweetheart neckline, the skintight black and nude lace soon gave way to a multi-layered billowing black and red skirt.
