Kylie Minogue is sharing a private health battle.
The “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” singer—who previously battled breast cancer in 2005—revealed she was diagnosed with cancer for a second time almost 20 years later.
“My second cancer diagnosis was in early 2021. I was able to keep that to myself,” Kylie, 57, shared in her new Netflix docuseries Kylie released on May 20. “Not like the first time.”
“Thankfully, I got through it, again,” she continued. “And all is well. Hey, who knows what’s around the corner, but pop music nurtures me … my passion for music is greater than ever.”
Yet, looking back, the Grammy winner—whose first battle with cancer was highly-publicized—admitted that it was difficult “to find the right time” to reveal her second diagnosis after completing treatment. According to Kylie, she particularly struggled with whether or not to announce the news following the success of her 2023 single, “Padam Padam.”
