Ontario Expansion

Jackpot is a provider of dealerless electronic poker and table games, and yesterday announced that the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) had approved the company to be licensed as a registered Gaming Related Supplier in the province, meaning Jackpot can now supply electronic table games to Ontario gaming venues, both casinos and other regulated facilities.

“This approval provides us with the opportunity to offer our top-tier electronic gaming systems to operators throughout all of Ontario, positioning us for further growth in one of the world’s most robust gaming markets,” said Jake Kalpakian, CEO of Jackpot Digital, in a written statement.

We are excited to bring our innovative products to Ontario’s gaming community and continue our commitment to providing exciting, technology-driven entertainment experiences.”

The company also said in the statement it has already had enquiries from casinos across Ontario and “intend to immediately engage with gaming operators”.

That news came on the heels of the announcement Wednesday Jackpot had signed a letter of intent to supply two of its flagship Jackpot Blitz machines to PENN Entertainment’s Boomtown Casino & Hotel New Orleans.

The Jackpot Blitz blends 4K technology touchscreen with card vending technology that replicates actual card play, with real-time tracking of player stats, bankroll, and player bonuses. Besides poker, players can also move to a library of games like Baccarat and Blackjack.

Dealerless Poker Tech

Boomtown Casino is located 15 minutes from the French Quarter in New Orleans, with 800 slots and video poker games, and 30 tables.

Each new machine installed represents monthly recurring revenue for Jackpot Digital.

Jackpot added in the statement it has additional licensing applications underway in several jurisdictions in Canada and the U.S.

“We continue to experience significant demand for Jackpot Bitz across the United States and worldwide,” Kalpakian said. “We anticipate our momentum will continue to build through 2024 and beyond, as we acquire more licenses and new properties to our installation base.”

Jackpot has announced land-based installations in California, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Oregon, U.S. Virgin Islands, Washington and Saskatchewan.
