Mike Greenberg Reveals What Anthony Edwards Has In Common With Michael Jordan
In some ways, the 2024 NBA playoffs have been a coming-out party for Anthony Edwards.
The Minnesota Timberwolves star guard has been thought of highly for the last couple of years, but this spring, he has proven that he is more than your ordinary All-Star.
He has increased his production in the playoffs, and although his team trails the Dallas Mavericks 3-1 in the Western Conference Finals, he hasn’t exactly lost his belief in himself or his team.
People have been comparing Edwards to Michael Jordan, and Mike Greenberg said per ESPN Radio that Edwards shares Jordan’s “unyielding, unwavering belief in himself” as well as a white-hot desire to take initiative.

Edwards has displayed this immense belief in himself multiple times, such as when he said he will become the best player in the NBA fairly soon.
Usually, when people talk like this about themselves, it reeks of arrogance and possibly insecurity, but coming from Edwards, it almost sounds matter-of-fact.
After Minnesota won Game 4 versus Dallas to avert a sweep, Edwards said that he took it personally.
It was the type of attitude Jordan would’ve had back in the day.
Plenty of people have the type of athleticism Jordan or Edwards have, and some also develop the skills that both possess.
But it all starts with one’s philosophies and attitude, and for men such as them, truly believing they’re the best can become more of a way to manifest success than anything else.
Edwards is just 22 years of age, so he is very much just getting started with what could end up being a legendary career.
