• They protected the tree of Good and Evil
• Keep records
• Accomplish tasks
• Satan was a Cherub
3. Thrones:
• Also named Ophanim
• Mentioned in book of Colossians
• Have many eyes or a chariot of God
• Carry out judgments
• 4 wings and 4 faces
• Represent peace, humility,
2 Sphere:
1. Dominions:
• Or Lordships
• The Book of Enoch has a lot about angels (Apocrypha)
• They have great over and autonomy over humans
• They do not contact us
• Help us in conflicts and needs
• In charge of sending lower ranking angels
2. Virtues:
• Raphael may be a virtue (not sure because it is a book of Enoch)
Raphael: Healing of God
• Virtues have to do with a lot of healing
• Clean up mess
• Bring cleansing
• Encourage humans for faith in God
3. Powers
• Powers and Authority are closely related to the Holy Spirit
• They are not the Holy Ghost
• Help humans to overcome temptations
• Depicted as warriors and soldiers with swords
• They fight demons
3rd Sphere: (closest to humans and mission: protect and guide us)
Can take human form
1. Principalities
• Princedoms or Rulers
• Can entertain them unawares
• Oversee everything on Earth
• Angels with scepters or crowns (Daniel is not certain)
• Guide cities towns, region. politicians,religion, Christianity
• Always battles in second heaven
• They send other angels to protect humans from possible danger
2. Archangels
• Archangel Michael
• Most popular Angel known to man
• Archangel: First in rank
• Also messenger and envoy
• Sent to do heavy lifting

• What Michael does:
o Contends with Satan for Moses’s body
o Battle in the heavenlys: Michael leads it

• They are closest to us
• Here to protect and guide us
• Assigned to us
