The NBA season is over for Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks, but the three-time All-Star isn’t taking a second to rest.

Just weeks after being eliminated from the Western Conference Finals by the eventual champs, the Golden State Warriors, Doncic is back home playing with his national Slovenian team.

And based on what we’ve seen, he’s doing some magical things overseas.

During a friendly match against the Italian basketball team, Doncic was all over the floor, creating incredible shots, jaw-dropping assists, and generally looking like his regular self again.

Lately, some people have speculated that Doncic is working harder than ever.

The Doncic Days Of Summer

For many NBA players, summer is a time to hit the gym, tweak their game, but generally relax and take it easy.

Usually, Doncic is doing just that.

In fact, some fans have complained about Doncic’s state at the start of the season, suggesting that he spends too much time relaxing – and drinking sweet tea.

Yes, he often shows up at training camp a little sluggish and little squishier.

But that doesn’t seem to be the case this year: Doncic is playing hard even though he’s off the clock.

Other social media posts have shown a Doncic who looks fit and muscular.

All of this suggests that he’s taking the offseason very seriously this year.

That’s a smart move because his Mavs are in strong position to have a great upcoming season.

Obviously, they made it far in the postseason which was a surprise and a huge boost to the team’s spirit.

Additionally, Dallas recently traded for Christian Wood, giving Doncic a lot of help in the front court.

Plus, there are likely more trades in the near future.

With a healthy and driven Doncic, a new-look roster, and a newfound belief, the Mavs could be going really far next season.
