The Astros Have Made Even More October History
The Houston Astros are once again back in the World Series.
With a 6-5 win at Yankee Stadium on Sunday night, the Astros completed an ALCS sweep and made their return to the Fall Classic for the fourth time in the last six years.
The Astros have been completely dominant this postseason, having won all seven games they have played, sweeping the Seattle Mariners in the ALDS and doing the same to the New York Yankees in the ALCS.
But the Astros’ win streak dates all the way back to the final two days of the regular season, when they won the final two games of a three-game series against their World Series opponents in the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Astros are 9-0 since then and their pitchers have recorded 120 strikeouts, marking the first time in MLB history that a team has accomplished such a feat.
Last 9 games for the @astros dating back to the regular season:
9-0 record
120 strikeouts (pitching)No other team in MLB history has gone undefeated with 120+ strikeouts on the mound over a 9-game span (regular season or postseason).

Astros Coming In Hot
The Astros are coming into the World Series red-hot.
Very similar to the 2007 Colorado Rockies and the 2014 Kansas City Royals, the Astros have completely and utterly dismantled each of their opponents and have still yet to lose a game this October.
The Phillies will definitely have their hands full when the series gets underway on Friday night.
But Houston remains one of, if not the best team in all of baseball.
The streak they are on is unprecedented.
They haven’t lost since the end of the regular season and their pitching staff, which is among the best in the league, has been lights out.
Can the Astros ride it all the way to another championship?
