This silent, color home movie was likely filmed sometime around the first week of August, 1966, and begins in Florida (Ruskin, Jacksonville, Miami), before moving onto the Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, Canal Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, and finally downtown Chicago, Illinois, where the photographer captures the Loop theater district in all its nighttime neon glory. There’s also as a daytime stroll around the State Street area and a trip up to the Prudential Building observation deck. Also included is footage of a Muhammad Ali fight and a First Daughter Luci Baines Johnson’s wedding, filmed off a television set.
