NFL fans are waiting to watch this season’s conference championship games.

While the AFC and NFC have great matchups, Skip Bayless has his eyes on the NFC Championship game.

He and Shannon Sharpe recently debated who they thought would win the game.

While Sharpe has one take, Bayless feels the Philadelphia Eagles will defeat the San Francisco 49ers.

He feels the only weakness the 49ers have is at the quarterback position.

While Purdy has been sensational this season, Bayless isn’t sold on the seventh-round pick from Iowa State.

To him, Mr. Irrelevant will “hit a wall,” against the Eagles and their defense.

While he gives Purdy compliments over his drive to win games, he feels the Eagles are too much to overcome.

The conversation also brought up Tom Brady, who was in a position much like Purdy back in 2001.

However, Bayless points out how Brady had time to watch a veteran quarterback before becoming the starting quarterback.

With Purdy not having the same luxury, it gives him a reason to doubt the young quarterback.

But the argument is moot, as Ben Roethlisberger has been in Purdy’s shoes before.

During his first season in the NFL, he came in for the injured Tommy Maddox to lead the Pittsburgh Steelers to a 15-1 season.

However, because he was a first-round pick, it was believable that he could accomplish such a feat.

Sharpe points out the draft position, as he feels the take will be different if Purdy was a first-round pick.

While both sides make their case, Skip feels the Eagles can advance to the Super Bowl.
