Shocking Child Custody Decision Temporarily Reversed

A Louisiana judge has temporarily reserved a shocking child custody decision. Crysta Abelseth says she was raped when she was 16 and became pregnant. However, the man who allegedly raped her was given sole custody of their daughter. She didn’t file a police report until 10 years later but Barnes was never charged. The local sheriff now says: “Our department absolutely dropped the ball and we simply must own our mistake.”
