Robert Griffin III Shares His Lofty Set Of Future Goals
About a decade ago, Robert Griffin III was one of the hottest quarterback prospects the NFL had seen in a while.
Unfortunately, what looked like a very promising career was derailed by a serious knee injury late in his rookie season, and after several more fruitless seasons, he called it quits.
Over the last couple of years, Griffin has become an analyst for ESPN for its coverage of both college and pro football, but he has his sights set on much loftier goals.
He says he wants to be a commentator for the Olympics, become an actor, and even serve as the Commissioner of the NFL, per Front Office Sports.

After an outstanding stint at Baylor University, Griffin was the No. 2 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins after the Indianapolis Colts took Andrew Luck, and a lot was expected from him at the next level.
In 15 games as a rookie, he threw for 3,200 yards and 20 touchdowns while setting a rookie record with a 102.4 passer rating, and he also added 815 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.
But his knee injury late that year prevented him from ever playing at the same level again.
He played six more seasons in the NFL, but his production was spotty and he was unable to remain healthy.
While he may not have been a true bust, Griffin is considered one of the most disappointing QB prospects in recent memory along with JaMarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf, even if it wasn’t his fault.
He does have a chance, however, at having a very successful life after football if he stays focused and motivated.
