President Joe Biden arrived at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport at about 12:45 p.m. and is expected to spend several hours in the Bayou State before departing later Friday evening.

Biden has been in contact with Louisiana officials throughout the storm and stated any and all resources from a federal level will be made available to the Gulf Coast to help with recovery. Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards has described the damage to the power grid as such and has stated the same about structures throughout the state.

Outside New Orleans, neighborhoods remained flooded and residents were still reeling from damage to their homes and property.
