NFL Reporter Sets Hilarious Goals For Doug Pederson In Jacksonville
It isn’t reassuring that the Jacksonville Jaguars had the number one draft pick in back-to-back seasons.
It means that they haven’t made any significant gains in two years.
Despite having promising quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the Jaguars managed only three victories.
But this offseason, the team made some transactions that will end the era as the league’s laughingstock.
They’ve made some interesting free-agent acquisitions, starting with Brandon Scherff, Zay Jones, Christian Kirk, and Evan Engram on offense.
On the other side of the ball, they’ve added Folorunso Fatukasi and Foyesade Oluokun.
The Jaguars did not stop there because they also brought in Doug Pederson as their new head coach.
They are hoping that he can replicate the Super Bowl victory he brought to the Philadelphia Eagles.
But aside from leading the team to a respectable finish, Sports Illustrated Fan Nation reporter Cole Thompson has another goal for Pederson.

Thompson responded to NBC Sports’ Warren Sharp’s tweet, “The bar for Doug Pederson in Year 1 is to ride home on the plane after every game, not touch players and know who Aaron Donald is. I think he has locked up this award.”
A Disappointing Period In Jaguars History
Obviously, Thompson is saying that Pederson should avoid repeating the mistakes that former head coach Urban Meyer did.
The former Florida and Ohio State head coach lasted only 13 games as the Jaguars’ main mentor.
Yet despite his brief stint, his tenure was filled with drama.
The transgressions Thompson mentioned are just a few of what Meyer had done.
He hired a trainer with a checkered past and tried out Tim Tebow at tight end.
There’s also the kicking incident and some choice words against Josh Lambo.
He also alienated the entire locker room by calling every assistant coach a loser.
Finally, who could forget the incident at his own restaurant after not riding the team plane after their game in Cincinnati?
By avoiding those instances, Pederson has already done a better job than Meyer.
