New Orleans, Louisiana 2020 Population and Economic Analysis

In this video summarizes a report that employed a variety of data sources and urban planning methods to analyze the New Orleans – Metairie metropolitan statistical area (MSA), while also highlighting key results that we uncovered. This included demographic analysis that used population size and composition information to determine the evolution of New Orleans communities over time, as well as predict their future outlooks. We also used economic analysis to look at the areas that struggled following natural disasters like hurricane Katrina, and the prospects of future job growth in this region. Finally, we looked at equity distribution throughout the MSA, where there are lingering issues with social vulnerability and economic connectedness plaguing the historic city of New Orleans.
