The New Orleans Pelicans have finally received some good news.

But, it might be too little too late.

After being one of the best teams in the NBA to start the year, they have fallen off a cliff over the past few months.

They started the year 18-8, but now have a record of 35-37 and are tied for 11th in the Western Conference.

One of the main reasons for their demise has been the injury to All-Star forward Zion Williamson.

But the good news the Pelicans received was that Williamson has been cleared to return to on-court activities.

According to the Pelicans, Williamson will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Many Pelicans fans fear they do not have that much time with their playoff hopes slipping away.

He is their best player, and one of the dominant forces in the league.

Yet, Williamson has not been able to stay healthy during his NBA career.

Williamson has only played in 29 games this season, and we have not seen him on the floor since January 2.

At this point, the chances Williamson comes back to help them in the regular season are slim.

They only have 10 regular season games left, and the Pelicans will not rush their star back.

If New Orleans can get into the playoffs, maybe they would consider bringing Williamson back then.

But you can chalk this up as another injury-plagued year for the two-time All-Star.

When on the floor, Williamson is an elite player, unfortunately, we do not get to see him available consistently.
