NBA Analyst Reveals How The Rockets Can Instantly Improve
It’s taken a very long time but the Houston Rockets are finally looking like something special again.
While it is true that they had a horrible season, they are cobbling together a young, promising team full of up-and-comers ready to prove themselves.
But more importantly, they are creating a war chest of money to spend on free agency.
Houston trims the roster down to 18 guaranteed contracts after the John Wall buyout.
$30M below the luxury tax and plenty of options either in the trade market or free agency this offseason.
Eric Gordon is the lone player earning $10M+

NBA expert Bobby Marks pointed out that the Rockets now have just 18 guaranteed contracts after buying out John Wall.
That puts them $30 million below the luxury tax and gives them many options in the trade market or the upcoming free agency marketplace.
In fact, Eric Gordon is the only player bringing in more than $10 million.
All of this is given the Rockets a lot of freedom.
Rockets Rallying
The Rockets ended last season at the bottom of the Western Conference.
But since then, they’ve traded away Christian Wood, done very well in the draft, and gotten rid of Wall, opening the door up for many options.
How will they look in a few months when the new season begins?
With all that money to spend, the Rockets will likely be aiming high – but will that lead anywhere?
Will any more experienced and proven players want to come south to Houston, a team that is still a ways away from being truly great and proven?
Possibly because there really is a lot of potential with this team and they could be going places soon.
The Rockets are still a few pieces away from being terrific playoff contenders.
However, they’ve got a lot of money in their pockets and they could spend a pretty penny to improve their chances.
