Miss Louisiana Collegiate USA 2021 Zuwena Easterling

Zuwena Easterling is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 2019 with a BA in Sociology and she will be graduating in May with her Master’s in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisiana-Monroe. Zuwena began competing in pageants when she was 18 and since then, she has inspired others to share their inner beauty and natural talents through pageantry and service. Zuwena recently placed 4th runner-up in the Miss Louisiana Collegiate America pageant and now has her sights set on the inaugural Miss Collegiate USA Pageant in Greenville, South Carolina in July. In the future, Zuwena hopes to begin her career in criminal justice working for a government agency and making the world a better place.
Platform
Zuwena is a strong advocate for civic engagement and women’s empowerment. Her platform, Civics Savvy emphasizes the importance of being aware and informed during local, state, and national elections and making sure to be involved in the community so that everyone’s voices as constituents are heard. Additionally, Zuwena seeks to empower every woman and girl to follow their dreams and to shatter the ceilings that no one thought they could break.
