Louisiana Farm Bureau YF&R Travel to Washington, D.C.

Every year, members of the Louisiana Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee travel to Washington D.C. to meet with their national legislators to discuss issues that impact their farms back home. In addition to their visits on Capitol Hill, they also met with the policy shapers at the American Farm Bureau, and visited with undersecretaries at the U.S. Department of Agriculture who write the rules based in laws passed by Congress. As TWILA’s Avery Davidson shows us, this process is a great example of Louisiana Farm Bureau’s grassroots work in action.
