On Sunday, Team Mexico crashed the party for Team USA, who had defeated Great Britain in their World Baseball Classic opener on Saturday night.

Sunday was all about Team Mexico.

Led by Randy Arozarena and Joey Meneses, Mexico blew out the Americans by a final of 11-5.

Meneses had perhaps the biggest hit of the night, crushing a three-run home run which proved to be the difference in the game.

The Washington Nationals star also had a nice bat flip before he began his long trot around the bases.

On Twitter, the official account for the World Baseball Classic posted a video of the home run and the bat flip.

Baseball is always better with bat flips.

Meneses certainly understands that.

He put a big swing on a pitch and sent it way out to deep left.

That ultimately proved to be the difference in the game, as it helped Mexico extend their lead to 7-2.

Team USA scored three more runs to pull to within 8-5, but Mexico ultimately pulled away after picking up three insurance runs.

The Nationals certainly like what they have seen thus far out of Meneses, and Mexico had to be pleased with what they saw from him yesterday.

The 30-year-old made his MLB debut last season after several years in the minor leagues.

Now, he has emerged as a power threat and one of MLB’s best up-and-coming sluggers.

But his bat flip is what stole the show on Sunday.

The home run took the air out of Team USA and proved to be just enough for Mexico to pull away with a win, and the bat flip added a little extra drama to it.
