Joe & Joe Weather Show Friday August 27, 2021 Ida is strengthening as it makes its way across Western Cuba and into the Gulf of Mexico. We have as a special guest former Chief Meteorologist Bob Breck of WVUE-TV in New Orleans to lend his perspective on the forecast and potential impacts of Ida on Louisiana. Ida is forecast to become a major hurricane before landfall. In the Northeast a cooler weekend is in store with a cold front moving through and stalling across the Northern Mid Atlantic states. This front will produce some thunderstorms and severe weather risk late today in parts ot the area. Ida rains will spread northward into the Tennessee and lower Ohio Valley and to the Mid Atlantic and southern parts of the Northeast during the middle of next week.
