Grotesque Drag Shows Have Now Become An LSU Staple

Louisiana State University: the flagship university of Louisiana.

In the past few months, LSU has devolved into an absolute joke of a university. From the campus-wide “simping” of Livy Dunne to the rash of crimes at the Tigerland bars, the decline of LSU as an institution is beginning to symbolize our state’s poor leadership and lack of direction.

To many people’s chagrin, LSU’s Student Government decided to host a drag show on campus last week. Can you think of a better way to start off the semester than to spend public funds on a grostesque, decadent event like a drag show?

Oddly enough, LSU’s Student Government no longer shows this post on its Instagram account. Seems like they don’t want the public to know about this event. Who knows?

Remember, LSU is a serious university by the way. Lavish sports facilities, underage drinking at Tigerland, and Drag Shows are what one can expect from LSU in 2023—instead of an actual education. No wonder LSU is not considered to be a top #150 university in America.

To sum this event up, grown men danced half-naked in front of a bunch of impressionable eighteen, nineteen, and twenty-year-olds for a few hours. Go Tigers!

Just remember that a Student Government of a public university in Louisiana sent school money to these drag performers. We’re not talking about UC-Berkeley or the University of Oregon. We are talking about LSU—a school in our backyard. The student government of Louisiana’s very own flagship university hosted a literal drag show on campus. You can’t make this stuff up.

The most disappointing part of this whole situation was the lack of opposition by Louisiana’s Republican and conservative leaders.

Where was the public push-back against an event like this drag show? Where were Louisiana’s elected officials when it came to scrutinizing the potential use of public tax dollars for this event? Where were the various Republican/conservative groups to badger the university’s leadership?

Oh wait, our elected officials are more worried about their re-election campaigns than what’s going on at Louisiana’s flagship university. Our state’s political Establishment cares way more about attending Mardi Gras parties in DC and cushy dinner engagements than promoting authentically conservative values in Louisiana.

While Louisiana’s politicians dither about promoting destructive vices like gambling and marijuana, Louisiana’s future generations are subjected to LGBT drivel at school, in the library, and in public.

Unfortunately, last week’s Drag Show was not the first time that LSU has hosted a Drag Queen show on campus. Back in October 2021, LSU’s Office of Multicultural Affairs hosted a Drag Queen Show in conjunction with a LGBT student organization.

We’ve gone from the “multicultural affairs” people at LSU putting on an exposition of cultural arson to now having the student government doing it, in less than a year and a half. And if you think there is any adult supervision to this, think again – LSU’s administration has the lighters and gas cans.

Are you listening, LSU President Bill Tate? This is your legacy. Men performing exotic dance dressed in the most degrading way to women, and being paid with public money to do it.

Hasn’t this whole ordeal served to prove that LSU and Louisiana has become a joke of a state? Are there any standards left? Bourbon Street for the Southern Decadence Festival is one thing. This is an institution of higher learning, or at least it’s billed as such.

Aren’t you tired of seeing the promotion of Drag Shows at Louisiana colleges while our state suffers from rampant crime, poor economic opportunity, and a shrinking population? Perhaps our tax dollars shouldn’t be used for further moral degradation of our youth; if so, the time has come to boldly speak the truth in this decaying society.

We don’t need mentally-ill men (dressed as women) dancing half-naked in front of eighteen year-olds. This blatant subversion of traditional femininity is abhorrent affront to any sensible person.

At the end of the day, LSU and Louisiana deserves better than this nonsense.

Maybe Louisiana can take a page out of Missouri’s playbook and move to regulate Drag Shows as a “sexually explicit business”—preventing children from viewing these degenerate performances. That would be a solid start.
