It is now becoming more and more apparent that Fred VanVleet is planning to depart from the Toronto Raptors.

A few days ago, it was announced that VanVleet was parting ways with his agency and looking for new representation.

Now we are hearing that he will likely sign with Klutch Sports, LeBron James‘ agency.

They are known as one of the most aggressive agencies in the business with a very high profile and proficiency for getting exactly what they want.

This makes it even more clear that VanVleet is looking to set up shop somewhere new.

Will he end up playing alongside James with the Los Angeles Lakers?

Will the Orlando Magic, who are reportedly very keen on landing a guard like VanVleet, get into the mix and make an offer?

Or will the Raptors be able to hash out a promising deal for VanVleet and his new representation and convince him to stick around in Toronto?

There are a lot of moving pieces and a lot about VanVleet’s future is up in the air.

Multiple teams are hoping that the Raptors accept that they will likely lose VanVleet in the summer and will put him up as a trade target in the coming weeks before the deadline.

But it’s probably more likely that he remains with his team until free agency starts in the offseason.

At that point, VanVleet and his professionals at Klutch Sports will have a lot of phone calls to pick up.

VanVleet’s efficiency has lowered a bit lately and his three-point shooting has really dropped off.

But he would still be one of the most coveted free agents in the league when summer rolls around.
