Kyrie Irving is one of the most talented players in NBA history.

But as good as he is on the court, some of his actions off it have made him some enemies in NBA media.

Notably, he’s gotten into a never-ending feud with Stephen A. Smith, with both of them taking personal shots at each other over and over.

That’s why Kyrie seemingly wanted to put an end to the cycle by letting Smith know that he doesn’t want him to talk about him at all, plain and simple.

Smith responded by telling him to stop playing basketball, as he’s going to talk about hoops and he’s a basketball player.

Needless to say, NBA fans had plenty to say about that, most of them calling Smith out for making it personal.

Smith claims that he was only talking about Kyrie Irving because of his presence at a Los Angeles Lakers game, adding that Irving’s free agency could shift the balance of power in the league and even praising him for being a smart and good person and an elite basketball player.

Irving has been a talking point often around NBA circles, and he’s never done anything to prevent that, often being tangled up in controversies.

However, Smith has a long history of somewhat controversial takes, and he’s openly admitted that he’s had personal issues with Kyrie and his father in the past, so the fans might not want to listen to him talking about Kyrie anymore after all they’ve been through over the past couple of years.
