The Miami Heat are ready to do what they were expected to do three games ago and eliminate the Boston Celtics from the 2023 NBA playoffs once and for all.

They had a big opportunity to close the deal at home on Saturday night, and they were three seconds away from doing so until Derrick White showed up.

They know the job has become much harder now, and everybody must be locked in on Monday night.

Erik Spoelstra sent a big message ahead of this game, making it clear that they don’t care how they do it, as long as they get the job done.

“It’s just a shame but look this is the way this season’s been,” Spoelstra said. “This is one hell of a series. At this time right now, I don’t know how we’re going to get this done, but we’re going to go up there and get it done.”

The Heat looked great during the first three games of the series, but as soon as they went up 3-0, things changed for them.

The Celtics are now the dominant team and if Miami wants to advance to the NBA Finals, they need to show something different in Game 7.

Jimmy Butler showed flashes of his best version during Game 6, and he promised to be better in the next match, but that might be too late for him.

Only four teams have forced a Game 7 after going down to 0-3 in NBA history.

The Celtics could be the first one to complete the task and pull off the comeback.

Still, the Heat already won twice in Boston and they’ll try to do the same to advance to the championship series.
