Fans of the Washington Commanders can’t seem to catch a break.

However, they need to put all the negative behind them with the team’s owner, Dan Snyder.

While it’s hard to ignore all the scandals that happened under his watch, focusing on that doesn’t help their team rebuild and improve.

The team, and their fanbase, need to focus on the things that will make the team better.

Dwelling on the misdeeds of Snyder won’t change what he’s done.

While the team often gives fans little to be happy about, there are some good things to report.

Carson Wentz Gives Team A Small Upgrade At Quarterback

While some Commanders fans aren’t happy with Carson Wentz, he is an upgrade at the QB position for the team.

The last good quarterback the team had was Kirk Cousins.

Since he left, the team has struggled to keep or find a playoff contending quarterback.

The team has gone through ten different quarterbacks since 2018.

However, some Commanders fans feel they have a quarterback that can get them back into the playoffs with Wentz.

While they see him as someone that can get them to the playoffs, they don’t see him as the long-term fix the team needs.

But they aren’t wrong about feeling this way about Wentz, who’s gotten injured every time he was having a breakout season.

With his injury history, and lack of proven playoff ability, fans will continue to question him as the fix Washington needs.

However, there is a fix the team has that they are keeping in 2022 and beyond.

Terry McLaurin Deal Gives Commanders Something Good To Focus On

While Terry McLaurin isn’t an elite receiver yet in the NFL, he’s the first back-to-back 1,000 yard receiver in Commanders history since 1996.

Getting him a new deal was the best thing for the team, Wentz, and fans.

His playing ability can also improve in 2022 if Wentz stays healthy for the season.

The reason for this is he can build a relationship and chemistry with one quarterback, something he has never had in Washington.

Ever since becoming the Commanders’ top receiver, multiple quarterbacks have been passing him the ball.

It hasn’t allowed him to get that one player he needs at the most important position in football.

Wentz could now allow him to have a good quarterback and possibly some consistency at that position in 2022.

It’s Not All Doom And Gloom For Washington

While Snyder has given Commanders fans plenty to be mad about, it’s not the end for the team.

The team can rise above the black eye he’s put on them.

However, it can only happen if fans get behind the team, who had nothing to do with their owner’s misdeeds.

They shouldn’t be punished for the wrongs of their owner.

Fans should keep this in mind, as plenty of new players are now with the team.

If they let the dark cloud of Snyder haunt the Commanders forever, they can never move forward as a team.
