Bryce Harper played through a lot of pain in 2022.

In the early portion of the season, Harper suffered a torn UCL in his right elbow.

Thankfully, because of the universal DH being added in the recent CBA, Harper could still play through it and take on DH duties for the Philadelphia Phillies.

The veteran slugger helped lead the Phillies to their first World Series since 2009.

Last week, the 30-year-old underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow.

Harper is expected to be out for several months.

But that didn’t stop him from enjoying his Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday.

Phillies analyst John Clark retweeted a photo from Harper’s brother Bryan, which featured Harper and his wife celebrating the holiday with family.

Despite the cast on his arm, last year’s National League MVP was all smiles.

Harper Enjoys The Holidays After TJ Surgery

Not even Tommy John surgery can take the joy out of Thanksgiving.

At least, that is the case for Harper and his family.

Thanksgiving is a holiday that brings friends and family members together for a special dinner that may feature some turkey or even stuffing.

Fortunately, the three-time NL MVP got a chance to enjoy the holiday with friends and family after his surgery.

While the defending NL champions won’t have their slugger until later in the season, that doesn’t mean that some joy can’t be found while he recovers.

Harper enjoying Thanksgiving dinner in a cast after surgery is proof enough of that.

The Holiday season is underway, and Tommy John surgery won’t stop the Phillies’ star from celebrating.
