Britney Spears and Jason Alexander : The Shortest Marriage In The History of HOLLYWOOD!!!

The average divorce in the United States occurs after eight years of marriage. That’s 24 times longer than Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney, 40 times longer than Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, and 324 times longer than Dennis Rodman and Carmen Electra lasted.
In comparison to Britney and Jason, Rodman and Electra are a regular Burns and Allen (that’s George Burns and Gracie Allen, kids, who stayed married 38 years until her death). Britney Spears and her childhood friend, Jason Alexander, were married for 55 hours, which is one-one thousandth of the time that the average American marriage ends in divorce.
So, how did that marriage come to be and why did it end so quickly?
Alexander’s story began – and ended – on New Year’s Day in 2004. Spears flew him to Las Vegas in a private jet after inviting him.
Alexander told ABC News correspondent John Berman that he went expecting to simply “have a good time.”
“It wasn’t exactly a booty call,” he explained. “It was just a friend asking a friend to join him on a trip.”
Alexander did admit that he and Spears, who grew up in Kentwood, Louisiana, were once “friends with benefits” – even when she was dating Justin Timberlake.
“There was a time when [Britney and I] hung out,” Alexander explained. “He called, and I was… kicking it with her, kind of like the guy ‘behind the scenes’ that no one knew about.”
Then came Las Vegas, and he was no longer behind the scenes.
“She just asked me,” Alexander explained. “‘Well, let’s get married,’ she said. And I said, ‘Sure. Let’s do this, you know.'”
They were drinking, according to Alexander “There were party favors.
“What kind of party favors are you looking for?” “Alexander said with a smile.
When asked if he meant drugs, Alexander said, “Alcohol is a controlled substance. Coffee is a narcotic. Cigarettes are a controlled substance. We were, indeed, using drugs.”
Whatever their level of intoxication, Alexander claimed to be riding an emotional wave.
“I followed my feelings,” he explained. “I was madly in love with her, and I believe she felt the same way.”
They went to the small white wedding chapel, exchanged vows, and posed for the infamous photo, which featured Spears wearing a white baseball cap and baring her midriff. Everything seemed so promising.
Alexander confirmed that there was a honeymoon period.
“I mean, we were in Vegas, after all. We had a suite, after all. Hmmm, “he said.
When he and Spears told her mother and managers about the happy news, Alexander said, “everyone went crazy because there was no prenup.”
“They didn’t want to hear anything… and [Spears] returned, and it was over,” Alexander explained. “That was pretty crazy.”
The marriage was dissolved. According to the annulment, Spears “lacked comprehension of her actions to the extent that she was incapable of agreeing to the marriage.”
“Bullsh**,” Alexander retorted.
Alexander stated that he signed the annulment papers as a courtesy and hoped they would reconcile.
It hurt, he admitted.
“That was probably the most difficult part,” he admitted. “I’d obviously gotten my emotions involved.”
“I was not compensated. I didn’t make any money directly from it, uh, “he said.
He returned to Louisiana by coach flight.
Alexander wants to be a fighter in mixed martial arts.
What did he discover?
“Don’t be such a nice guy,” he laughed. “Nice guys come in last. Take care of yourself. If you are a regular Joe and want to get involved in a relationship with a celebrity, make sure you are thinking business!”
Spears described the annulled marriage in an interview with E! a few months later, saying, “It was me being silly, being rebellious.”
After a five-year courtship, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have married.
The couple married in a small ceremony in California on June 9.
