Brewers Analyst Reveals Concerning Fact For The Franchise

Milwaukee Brewers president of baseball operations David Stearns has stepped down from his role.

General Manager Matt Arnold has been promoted to fill the role.

The Brewers now find themselves in need of a new general manager.

Stearns was in Milwaukee for seven years, and in four of those years, the team reached the postseason, reaching the NLCS in 2018.

However, one Brewers analyst revealed a bit of a concerning fact about the team.

Prior to Stearns taking his position as Brewers’ president of baseball operations, the club had only reached the postseason in just four of their 46 seasons in Milwaukee.

Trouble In Paradise?

This might just raise an eyebrow or two among Brewers fans.

The past is the past and can’t be changed, but if the Brewers want to avoid having that happen again, they’ll need to make sure that they find a good GM to go under the wing of Matt Arnold.

Arnold could obviously apply the success he and Stearns had together with whoever ends up being promoted to the general manager role.

The Brewers finished the season 86-76, seven games behind the NL Central champion St. Louis Cardinals.

The Josh Hader trade is what many will cite as their breaking point in 2022.

Milwaukee was ahead of St. Louis at the time.

But while the Brewers failed to add anybody after that, St. Louis added a few pitchers and ended up running away with the Central.

Much of the success of the Brewers could be attributed to Stearns, but the main problem was the Hader trade, and it’s a bigger a problem right now than Stearns leaving his position.
