It’s a bumpy road ahead for the US housing market as mortgage rates have surged over the past month (from around 6% for an average 30yr fixed to 7%). On top of that, there’s more than 60% more homes for sale now compared to a year earlier. In today’s video, I share my own analysis based on the latest real estate market data from Realtor.com and the impacts that these trends could have on our US housing market in the weeks and months ahead. To give you a quick mortgage interest rates update, according to the Mortgage News Daily the average 30yr fixed rate mortgage is around 7% for the current mortgage rates (at the time of filming this video for those with excellent credit).
