Every NFL season ends with a select group of coaches losing their job.

Whether it’s from having a terrible record, or continued failure to make the playoffs, those selected coaches get the pink slip.

However, there are some coaches who have continued job security in the NFL.

So which three NFL coaches have the least to lose in 2022?

3. Mike Tomlin

While the Pittsburgh Steelers are having questions at quarterback, there are no questions about Mike Tomlin.

He’s entering his 16th season as the head coach of the Steelers and has little to lose in Pittsburgh.

Over the past 15 years, he’s taken the Steelers to two Super Bowls, winning one of those Super Bowl games.

However, this season will be tough for him, as it’s the first year he’s without his star quarterback.

But the team is hoping to find the next star quarterback for the franchise in Kenny Pickett.

The rookie quarterback is a major cornerstone of the offensive future of the Steelers.

So throwing him into the fire gives Tomlin nothing to lose, as most people expect the Steelers to miss the playoffs.

However, Tomlin’s coaching ability has proven to be valuable, regardless of the team’s record.

It also allows him flexibility with what he can do with the team in 2022.

2. Todd Bowles

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles was handed the keys to a Ferrari with the team he has.

He’s stepped into the role of head coach after the retirement of Bruce Arians in Tampa.

The team there is led by seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Tom Brady.

After coming out of retirement, it led other star players with the team to re-sign deals in 2022.

This gives Bowles one of the best offensive units in the NFL, along with a good defense to back them up.

However, the health of star players on offense and defense will be a concern.

Players like Chris Godwin missed games because of injuries.

If Godwin, along with other offensive weapons, Mike Evans and Leonard Fournette, go down, it will be tough for Brady and Bowles.

However, even if the team loses them, Bowles has nothing to lose, as his job is secured in 2022 and beyond.

1. Bill Belichick

No coach has less to lose in 2022 than Bill Belichick.

The New England Patriots head coach has the most secure job in the NFL, and can take some risks in 2022.

While the team made the playoffs last season, they were one and done as they lost to the Buffalo Bills in their first game of the NFL playoffs.

However, 2022 could prove to be a tough year for AFC teams trying to reach the NFL playoffs.

The Bills made moves in the offense to improve their team, along with the Miami Dolphins, an AFC East rival of the Patriots.

But even if Belichick misses the playoffs, it won’t matter.

His coaching was the key part of the nine Super Bowl appearances and six Super Bowl wins New England has.

With that under his belt, he has little to lose in 2022.
